Did you know Our State Rep actually taught in our building?
CSAS had a treat this past Wednesday as our own State Representative JoAnne Favors visited our school. It was an honor to host Mrs. Favors. She shared many memories of her days when she was at Howard and they would come over to City on Thursday nights to use their field for football. She also shared stories about her days of teaching in the building when she was training nurses for Erlanger's School for Nursing which once occupied our building shortly after Riverside closed. Mrs. Favors visit was not all story telling though, she wanted to know what was taking place in our school and know what she could do to help. What was scheduled for a short interview went for most of the morning and we really had some excellent discussion. Mrs. Favors' expertise is in the medical field and education and she is a true supporter our teachers. We are very glad she is representing us. We didn't let Mrs. Favors leave without a proper tour. Senior Paideia Society members Kierra Carr, Tanner Lee, and Ruchi Shah walked Mrs. Favors all over the school and out to the stadium where part of our 9th grade retreat was taking place. Again, we want to say how privileged we are at CSAS for our State Representative to take the time to visit our school. Thank you very much!
