Bio

Let me introduce myself and my family.  I have three lovely children: Jack and twin girls Lizzie and Josie.  I am married to my wonderful husband, Tom, who is the principal at Ooltewah Elementary School. We also have a Great Dane, a beautiful blonde named Agnes.   I have taught at Hixson Middle, Loftis Middle, and now I am here at CSAS.  My career has allowed me to teach sixth, seventh, and eighth grade mathematics, as well as pre- algebra.

I believe in an active classroom that is engaging and rigorous. I also believe that I play a vital role in your child's success.  As a result, I will try my best to meet your child's learning style and execute "best practices" in teaching.  This should help all children excel - and live up to high expectations.

I know that as a parent you want your child to succeed academically and to be treated with respect and kindness. As a parent myself, I fully understand your wishes and hopes for your child, and I will work diligently to provide a wonderful learning experience for your child.  I know together we can make seventh grade a fabulous year!
