Addie McCallie - 6th Grade Science

About Me...

My Education: I received a Bachelor's dgree in Middle School Education from the University of Georgia.

Why am I at CSAS: When I first heard of this school and its reputation in Hamilton County, I knew that I wanted to be a part of its faculty. Upon further review of CSAS I found that this school strives to provide quality education through the Paideia Philosophy for all K-12 students. I believe that CSAS is a special place with special students and parents that desire the development and achievement of life-long learners. I am honored and excited to be a part of such a devoted community.

Family: I have a dad who retired from 35 years of teaching, a sweet mom, and an awesome younger brother. I am married to Drew McCallie and have been since March 31, 2012. We do not have any pets because we are allergic, but we love dogs.

Hobbies: One of my favorite things to do is dance. I use to be a real ballerina with the pointe shoes, pink tights, and bun. I also enjoy decorating my new home, bowling, and exploring the wonderful Chattanooga area.

Favorite Scientist: You! You don't have to have 10 degrees, work in a chemistry lab, or have really crazy hair to be a scientist. You are a scientist when you observe things that happen everyday and make conclusions, inferences, or predictions based on those observations.

Favorite Sports teams: I love the Georgia Bulldawgs. I am farther away from them than I ever have been in my life, but it is still "great to be a Georgia Bulldawg!" I am also a fan of the Braves.
