Welcome to our CSAS Website! I will update this page at least twice a month, so check back often to see photos, documents, announcements and the like. Remember, too, to check PowerSchool often; most teachers update their gradebooks at least once a week. Check out the links to the Sophomore and Senior syllabi!

Date Updates for Sophomores and Seniors:
(Note: I left the older notices at the end of this page, but I put them into a smaller font.)
Midterms are in! While the photos on this page aren't the most 'proper', I think they show the mania of the day!

Coaching Times: Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 8:00-8:45; Friday afternoons 4:00 - 4:55 - Students must make arrangments before they arrive to coaching, so I can make sure I don't have meetings or other commitments. In particular, I will not stay after school on Fridays unless a student makes prior arrangements.
I have created a link to a parent letter, and it has some information about me. The personal facts may be particularly helpful if you have insomnia!
Old Updates:
Seniors: Don't forget your after school work sessions! On Monday, September 26, I'll work with 2nd block; on Tuesday, September 27, I'll work with 4th block. I'll work with both groups from 4:05 until 8:30 in the second floor computer lab. Get as much done as possible, so the time is used well.
Sophomores: On Tuesday, September 7, our Laughing Boy essays are due. We have worked hard on these pieces! On Friday, September 23, Sophomores will submit their reading logs for their multicultural novels. Please encourage your child to divide the reading to ensure the process (and result) is more pleasant.
Seniors: On Thursday, September 1, Seniors will submit their "Seafarer" essays. On Thursday, September 29, Seniors submit their midterms. I've been working with my classes to ensure that the midterm work is scaffolded appropriately. We have a student calendar to direct your student's progress; the calendar will change as we near the deadline.
On Monday, August 22, each Sophomore should have a copy of his chosen multicultural novel. If he/she cannot secure a copy in a store, I'll need to have a receipt to show it was (at least) ordered. Students will have a month to read these books.
On Monday, August 22, each Senior should have his poet biography. Like the Sophomores, if he/ she cannot secure a copy in a store, I'll need to have a receipt to show it was ordered. Seniors will have about three weeks to read these biographies. Because these texts are a bit harder to find/choose, I've given students some tools to make their search easier.
