Laura Jones

Dear Parents:

¡Bienvenidos! Soy la Señora Jones, maestra de español y antropología a CSAS.  I just wanted to say hello and to let you know how excited I am to be back after a very hectic summer of packing, moving, and unpacking. After living out of boxes for the past two years, my husband and I are happy to be in our new home.

I am looking forward to having your child in my class. I will be sending home a handout the first few days of school that outlines some very practical strategies for success in a foreign language classroom. I hope you will take a few minutes to read over this information.  Many times I hear parents who don’t speak Spanish themselves ask how they can help their child. I think you will find these tips extremely helpful, and they may help to allay your anxiety as well as your son’s or daughter’s.
