About Lauren Lockwood
Education: I attended Eastern Michigan University. My degree is in Special Education: Emotional Impairment K-12.
Why are you at CSAS? I am teaching at CSAS because I strongly believe in our philosophy, our faculty, our parents and our students. I feel that our school has an amazing relationship with our parents as well as our students. This relationship is something other schools do not possess. I am honored to be part of such a great team!
Family: I am married to the love of my life, Jeremy. We do not have any children yet, but we are hoping to start a family sometime next year. Jeremy and I have two dogs, Bailey and Tucker.
Hobbies: I enjoy being outdoors, traveling, listening to music, reading, spending time with my husband Jeremy and our dogs, and visiting our families in Michigan.
Favorite sports team: My favorite professional sports team is the Detroit Pistons, and my favorite college team is the University of Michigan. Sorry, I’m a Michigan girl, and I have to root for my home teams!
Favorite book: My favorite book is Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. Every time I see or hear this book, it makes me remember my childhood. My parents and I used to read this book to each other and to my younger brother. It always brings back fond memories of my family.
Favorite quotes: "The best and the most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart." Helen Keller
"The love of a family is life’s greatest blessing." Anonymous
Favorite subject when you were a student: When I was a student, my favorite subject was English. Although, looking back now, I don’t know why. The area I struggle with the most is mechanics and grammar!
