Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences

PTSA Auction

Dear CSAS Parents,

What makes CSAS special? It’s the families!

Not only do you support your students, but you also support the teachers and the learning environment of the school.

Through last year’s PTSA auction, more than $13,000 was raised and put back into the school in the form of teacher scholarships and technology grants.

The Promethean smart boards you funded allow teachers to provide interactive lessons for students that incorporate websites, videos, and other media. The document cameras you bought allow teachers to share printed materials with entire classrooms of students without having to make dozens of copies.

Thanks to your generosity, several teachers attended professional development conferences in math, English, and foreign languages and then shared what they learned with their colleagues so that students throughout CSAS could benefit from the experience.

You have made a real impact on your children’s school, and you have the chance to do even more this year.

The annual PTSA auction is Thursday, April 12, and there are exciting changes in store for this year’s event. We’re adding an online auction that will allow you to shop anytime and anywhere that’s convenient for you. You can share the website with family and friends, too, no matter where they live!

Between now and March 16, we need your help securing items that will make the auction a success. Donations can be of any size or value, and they are all tax-deductible.

You can bring the items to Jennifer White’s office, or you can call her at (423)209-5814 or e-mail her at white_jennifer@hcde.org to arrange for a pickup.

Don’t have time to shop or don’t know what to buy? You can send a check made payable to CSAS PTSA, and committee members will be happy to do it for you.

Thank you for making CSAS such a special place to learn. We appreciate you!
