Education – B.S. from UTC in Human Ecology - Child and Family Studies, Pre-K through 4th grade
M.A. from Tennessee Technological University in Instructional Leadership
Why are you at CSAS? I chose to teach at CSAS because I have always believed in lifelong learning. I remember as a student at UTC in the teacher preparatory program hearing how innovative and exciting teaching and the learning environment was at CSAS. I was honored to receive one of my student teaching placements here and later felt that through God's divine intervention that I was hired as a teacher.
Family – I have a daughter named Ayanna.
Hobbies – Now I enjoy nurturing and observing the developments of my daughter. I love hanging out with friends either going to dinner, a movie or just talking.
Favorite Book – My favorite book is Oh, The Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss because it explains how life takes us places we may not have planned for, but through experiences and relationships, we always end up where we're supposed to be.
Favorite Quote – Helen Keller said, "What's worse than losing your sight is losing your vision."
Favorite Subject – As a student, I loved math.
